The second survivor of the Parkland, Florida, mass school shooting who committed suicide since March 17 was identified by his family Tuesday as Calvin Desir.
Desir was a 16-year-old sophomore at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where a former student armed with a semi-automatic assault rifle killed 17 students and staffers.
He died Saturday night, while the other survivor, Sydney Aiello, 19, took her own life the Sunday before.
Authorities had not released his name, but he was identified by a sister, Brittany Wright, on a GoFundMe page the family created.
“My family is grieving over the loss of a wonderful and amazing son, brother, nephew, and friend. We are raising money to support all the funeral cost for my brother. He was a fellow student at Stoneman Douglas with strong aspirations of one day becoming an engineer, which inspired him to always find new projects around the house to challenge his skills,” she wrote.
